Have just been having the funniest conversation in college…..So we’re having a debate about who can jump higher..an ostrich or a chicken!!! :) We actually had to Google it!!!

The plan for today is to create a cartoon strip of a chicken who thinks he can fly!

Time to illustrate.

Im back and ready to work..I have decided to try draw this image by hand….so far I have a chicken and a bird…now I’v gotta figure out the movements for the next frames!

Afterthoughts: After a bad morning and a late start I somehow managed to get something together! The final image was hand drawn but I’ve gotta say…it was tough not to allow myself to bring it into illustrator and turn it into a vector with colour!

The idea for this image came about when i was researching existential…which I’m gathering is like; when you question your existence in the world or just in life in general. And then I thought of a chicken…I imagined a confused chicken in the midst of having existential thoughts when a few birds fly past. When he’s looking at them flying he thinks he looks rather similar, so surely he can do what they do. That’s when he comes to the conclusion that he can fly! But obviously he cant…because chickens cant fly!!!! :)

And that was that…Poor silly chicken!

Tools used: Good old fashioned…Pen and paper!

Goodnight :)
